Euston Hotels
The main rail gateway from London to the West Midlands, the North West, North Wales and part of Scotland, Euston was the first inter-city railway station to be built in the capital and opened in 1837. Although the current building dates from 1968, some remnants of the original building are still visible on Euston Road, including two Portland stone entrance lodges and the war memorial. Boasting 18 platforms (two of them extended to accommodate the Caledonian sleeper service), it is the sixth busiest rail terminal in London and serves over 71 million people each year. Euston tube station is directly below and Euston Square tube station is just 5 minutes' walk away.
